What?
The 3rd International Sound Poetry Festival in Memory of Zurab Rtveliashvili is a multidisciplinary poetryfestival in the Swedish city, Uppsala.
The festival was introduced in 2021 to commemorate internationally known, Zurab Rtveliashvili from Tbilisi, Georgia. He was a guest writer in Stockholm and was heavily involved in Uppsala Centre for Literature’s activities. Zurab Rtveliashvili is internationally well known as a master of sound poetry.
Sound Poetry is a particuilar way of reading poetry with a central focus on sound even sometimes together with musical instruments. The festival features poetry reading in Swedish along with other languages like Georgian, English, Ukranian, Uyghur, Spanish, French, Hungarian, Persian, Arabic, Bengali, music, discussion and placard poetry manifestation on streets in Uppsala city centre. Placard Poetry will also feature Stig Dagerman 100 år.

Who?
Poets of diverse languages from different countries and all continents including artists from Uppsala will read their poetry, play music and hold literary dialogue.
